Art, education and well-being is a project funded by the Romanian Ministry of Culture.
The project responds to the need to find integrated and sustainable solutions to the complex reality of the contemporary world, mobilizing culture as a factor of social transformation. There is scientific evidence that art contributes significantly to improved well-being, creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills. Programs that foster creative expression through the arts have a positive impact on youth development, according to a UNESCO report (2021) and the CultureForHealth report (2022). Through the proposed activities, the project facilitates the encounter and dialog between the cultural, educational and health sectors, laying the foundations for artistic and creative practices that, integrated in education and health, can significantly contribute to increasing social cohesion and confidence and individual and collective well-being.
In implementing the project, we mobilize the expertise, resources and partnerships developed over the last 6 years, such as the Cluj School Network, a community of 40 schools in Cluj-Napoca and the region, the network of experts in arts and education developed in the Academy of Change, the network of experts and organizations and resources on the power of art to contribute to health and well-being through the Inner Space program, or two specialized forums present anually in our agenda.
