Guided Tour as part of Programul de Artă Contemporană BT

On May 19, Contemporar invites you to a new guided tour of the exhibition featuring the works selected for Programul de Artă Contemporană BT 2025. This time, the exhibition tour will also include encounters with some of the artists whose works are featured in the exhibition, offering visitors the opportunity to discover, directly from their perspective, the processes aand concerns underlying the exhibited works.

The exhibition, which remains open until May 23, brings together 15 works by local artists, exploring the connection between image, memory, and personal experience.

While the visual media range from painting to drawing and embroidery, the exhibition unfolds through several thematic directions that structure this plurality of approaches. One cluster focuses on interiority and identity, another revolves around notions of staging and narrative, while landscape and exterior space emerge as forms of recollection and poetic observation. The guided tour of Programul de Artă Contemporană BT creates a meaningful context for deepening the exhibition concept and understanding the logic behind the selection of works: the introspective registers of representation, scenographic constructions, and the poetic dimension of landscape.

Beyond differences in medium or theme, the works can be read as variations on how artistic gesture constructs affective spaces, at times dense and introspective, at others luminous, fragile or suspended between the real and the imaginary, charged with symbolic or personal meaning.
