Cultural Mediation Forum 2021: Art + Science

In its third edition, the Cultural Mediation Forum (formerly the Academy of Change Forum) takes place online from 25 to 28 October 2021, proposing an exploration of the encounter between arts and sciences in practice and communication theory, of coexisting approaches of educators, artists and managers.

This year\’s program encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences on how we understand the integrated approach to arts and science in school and curatorial practices, on how public funding policies encourage certain mediation practices, on the forms that collaboration between art and science can take in educational programs and how we prepare to achieve quality in cultural and scientific mediation.

During the 4 days, the Cultural Mediation Forum includes directions in addressing an important topic: from defining, to presenting specific frameworks in which mediation takes place, available resources and necessary skills for professional development in the field of art and science mediation. The Forum will be followed by a program of meetings inspired by working models, tools and practical projects.

The program is curated by Corina Bucea (Cluj Cultural Centre / Academy of Change) and Raluca Iacob (cultural policy and management consultant), with the contribution of Miruna Amza (Cluj Cultural Centre / Learning Qub).

The Forum opening will be broadcast live and registered participants will attend the next sessions on the Zoom platform.

Registration is open until October 21, 2021. Participation is free.
