Remarkable Romania is a network of localities that attributes to heritage and culture the role of engines of rural and regional development.

Inspired by the model of the Sites et cités remarquables de France program, the network includes 12 municipalities in Transylvania that benefit from training, exchange of experience and national and international partnerships, as well as assistance in creating a customized heritage interpretation plan, which will help them to – make use of local resources, including through the creation of community cultural centers.

The program is carried out in partnership with Sites et Cités Remarkables de France and Cluj County Council, under the patronage of the Romanian and French ministries of culture.
