Art consumption and its connection to well-being during the Covid 19 pandemic

How do arts contribute to our well-being? This question has been explored in recent years by various studies that have revealed the beneficial effect of the arts on several dimensions of well-being. Current circumstances are altering what we think we know about our way of living, of interacting and working and these new realities directly impact our health and well-being.

The aim of this research is to investigate the ways in which people relate to arts and creativity in the specific context of the Covid 19 pandemic. This survey is open to respondents of all ages and backgrounds from all around the world. The questionnaire is available in English, Romanian, Hungarian, Italian, Slovenian, French and Dutch.

We are particularly interested to find out:

  • Who is interacting with arts during the pandemic?
  • How do people feel during this period?
  • Which are their coping strategies during pandemic?
  • Which are the creative activities performed during Covid 19?
  • What kind of art do they consume at this time?
  • How do people perceive that art contributes to their well-being?

Filling out this survey is a brief moment of therapy in itself, a moment of reflection that will help respondents better understand their emotional states during this period. We invite you to take 10 minutes to relax and meditate on how you felt during these months of lockdown and share about your experience by filling in the questionnaire.

The survey collects information about age, country of residence, emotional states, activities and preferences in an anonymous and confidential manner. No personal identification and contact details are solicited, thus no connection between an answer and a particular individual is possible. The information provided will be statistically analyzed and will be exclusively used for research purposes.

We kindly ask you to answer the questionnaire before May 31st, 2020 and invite friends, relatives and acquaintances to fill it too.
